Arend Schuurman Did the first test flight with the 4 packs on board the 800. Did not have the parallel connector so I only used two. It carried the weight fine it seems. Is able to hold the position when using the APS. The biggest thing I noticed is that when I go off the APS system and back to the 3GX one better be ready to manage the collective as the added weight changed that characteristic and it does want to sink. So, overall, I guess I am still on the fence. Since the balance will not change when I add or remove the second set of batteries, I can normally run with the 2 battery set up but if the situation called for and extended flight time ( not sure what that would be ) I can always carry the second set and use 4. The other item is I know I am working the motor a little harder. It was certainly warmer, although it is a warmer day than the last time I flew.
